Principal and founder of Hutker Architects, Inc. Mark Hutker was named to the New England Design Hall of Fame last week at the Boston Design Center. The award recognizes the region’s top residential architects and interior designers.

The New England Design Hall of Fame is a joint creation of the Boston Design Center and New England Home magazine. Founded last year, it honors residential architects and interior designers whose work is of the highest caliber and who have made a significant contribution to the design field and to the overall good of the community.

Kyle Hoepner, editor-in-chief of New England Home, called the inductees “people who embody the innovation, thoughtfulness and commitment at the heart of great design. Each one is a standard-bearer for the profession . . . across our six states.”

They were selected by a committee of individuals from the New England design community including representatives from the Boston Design Center, Boston Architectural College, Boston Society of Architects, American Society of Interior Designers and New England Home’s editorial staff.

Mr. Hutker and the other inductees will be formally honored at a gala dinner on Nov. 12 in Boston.
