The Rt. Rev. Roy F. (Bud) Cederholm, Suffragan Bishop of the Diocese of Massachusetts, will be the preacher and celebrant at the 9 a.m. service of worship at Trinity Episcopal Church this Sunday, August 24. The concelebrant will be the Very Rev. John P. Streit, Jr., Dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul in Boston.

Bishop Cederholm was consecrated a bishop in 2001. A gifted teacher and preacher, he is an active voice and witness for environmental stewardship.

He provides leadership for a sustained diocesan commitment to relief and development work in the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. He participates in mission work trips to Mississippi and Louisiana, inspiring parish and student groups to similar service. He made an award-winning 2006 holiday radio campaign appealing for volunteers and donations to help hurricane-affected families.

A native of Brockton, Bishop Bud, as he is known familiarly, was ordained to the priesthood in 1972 in Massachusetts. He and his wife, Ruth Ann, have two sons and four grandchildren.

Dean Streit has been part of the team of clergy serving Trinity for the past 17 years.
