The Rev. William B. Heuss, priest in charge of Trinity Episcopal Church in Oak Bluffs, will preach and celebrate the service at Trinity on Sunday, July 6 and Sunday, July 13. The services will start at 9 a.m.

Reverend Heuss recently lost Clare, his wife of 32 years, to a sudden heart attack at their home on Cape Cod. In his sermon this past Sunday, he shared some thoughts and reminiscences about Clare, as well as several communiqués from friends which he found helpful in his bereavement that he thought might also help others who are dealing with grief and loss.

The Heusses have been an integral part of the Trinity family each summer since first coming to the Island in 1981. Reverend Heuss is the rector of St. David’s Episcopal Church in South Yarmouth.

The roster of priests scheduled for the summer include the Rev. Ronald E. Ramsey, St. John’s Episcopal Church, Arlington, on July 20 and 27; the Rev. Stephanie Spellers, Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston, on Aug. 3 and 10; the Very Rev. John Streit, dean of the Cathedral Church of St. Paul, Boston, on Aug. 17 and 24; and the Rt. Rev. Roy Cederholm, suffragan bishop of the Diocese of Massachusetts on Aug. 24.

Also, the Rev. Dr. Edward Rodman, the Episcopal Divinity School in Cambridge, on Aug. 31 and Sept. 7; and the Rev. Ian Douglas of the Episcopal Divinity School on Sept. 14.

Across from the Steamship Authority terminal in Oak Bluffs, Trinity Chapel was built in 1882 and has been maintained continuously since then as a summer chapel. More information is available by calling 508-693-3716.
