Following on the great response to the April vacation adventure, the Martha’s Vineyard Cultural Collaborative looks forward to another week of fun, creative learning experiences for children in the Island’s loveliest natural settings: the FARM Institute, Featherstone Center for the Arts, Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary, Martha’s Vineyard Museum, Polly Hill Arboretum and The Yard. Camp will take place June 23 to 27 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. daily, and is open to all Island children entering grades one through five.

Tuition is $250 for the week, and the registration deadline is June 6. Scholarships are available. For more information, call Featherstone at 508-693-1850. The Vacation Adventure Program is supported in part by a grant from the Martha’s Vineyard Cultural Council.

The program begins Monday with the Martha’s Vineyard Museum and Polly Hill Arboretum. Kids will explore the Edgartown light and learn about trees with a scavenger hunt, stories, games and crafts.

Tuesday it’s off to the FARM Institute for a day of getting our hands dirty in the garden learning how food comes from the field to the table.

Wednesday at Featherstone Center for the Arts, kids will incorporate nature in their art experiences, which include pottery, photography, drawing, printmaking, weaving and more.

Thursday, kids explore Felix Neck Wildlife Sanctuary using hands-on, inquiry-based activities.

Friday at The Yard, campers combine acting, singing, dancing and improv to create a group production.
