West Tisbury Library Hosts

Community Poetry Reading

The West Tisbury Public Library invites poetry lovers of all ages to listen or to read aloud at an open poetry reading on Sunday, Nov. 4 at 5 p.m. Organized and hosted by Shelton Bank, these twice-yearly library poetry readings are a longstanding West Tisbury tradition.

“Anybody who shows up is welcome to read their own original work, or their favorite poems by others,” town poet laureate Daniel Waters said. “You never know who will come, or what you’ll hear. It’s always an occasion full of happy surprises, and a chance to try out your new material on an appreciative audience.”

The West Tisbury Public Library is on State Road across from Alley’s Store. Admission is free. Refreshments will be served. More information is available by calling 508-693-3366.
