Honored repeatedly over its long history, the Vineyard Gazette has received more than 100 journalism awards in the last four years alone from the New England Newspaper and Press Association.

The New England Better Newspaper Competition receives about 3,200 nominations each year in categories that span news reporting, commentary, photography, design, promotions and advertising. The distinguished panel of judges includes present and past editors, reporters and journalism educators.

The Gazette has often won first place in its category for best overall website and best website design, among other prizes.

Here is a selection of stories, photographs and designs that were recognized by NENPA.
