One of the most scenic roads on the Island, with stone walls and stun- ning views across farmland to the distant Atlantic Ocean, Middle Road is a unique area favored by fine art photographers and Sunday drivers, and is carefully protected by the town. Buses and large commercial vehicles are prohibited. The Yard, a summer dance colony, is situated off Middle Road near Beetlebung Corner, the Chilmark town center.
