JUNE D. MANNING
The Aquinnah holiday party was a very community-spirited event from the youngest Nanawusuwee at six weeks up to the eldest. We will not have to mention any names as there were a few of us tied for that category. Thank you to Nonie Madison for organizing the event with the assistance of some of her elves Adam, Alexandra, Betty, Dan, Jay, Margie, Paul and Theresa. Plans are already underway for next year.
Condolences to Jessie Little Doe Baird, her husband Jason, their daughter Mae Alice and extended family for the loss of her mother Loretta White Jones. Services were held in Mashpee this week.
Condolences to the family and friends of Curtis Boyd who passed away this week. He spent many years watching over the youth of the Vineyard while overseeing many of us at the Boys and Girls Club when it was on School street.
