After dropping their first game of the season to mainland rival Nauset, the boys' soccer team picked up a 2-0 win over the Warriors Saturday afternoon in their first home game of the season.
"They'd been looking forward to playing at home," head coach Esteban Aranzabe said after the match. "We had a tough start against [Nauset]." But on Saturday, he said, "We knew the way they were playing, and we were ready for them."
Sophomore Nevin Wallis scored the first goal of the game after a throw-in from senior Alex GordonBeck. GordonBeck later earned the assist on junior Jason Lages' goal. Both goals came in the second half.
The boys are now 2-1-1, after defeating Falmouth 3-0 and tying Dennis-Yarmouth 2-2 last week.
