The final home game of the postseason takes place today at 4:30 p.m.

Boys' basketball takes on playoffs rival Wareham in the quarterfinals of the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletics Association south sectional tournament.

The Vineyard enters as the number three seed in the bracket, with a 17-4 record. Wareham, seeded sixth, is 16-5.

This is the fifth straight season the teams have met in the postseason, but history offers little indicator of which squad will come out on top. Last year, the Vineyard defeated Wareham in the section finals to advance to the state tournament. And the year before, it was Wareham that earned the section title.

On Tuesday, in the first round of the section tournament, the Vineyard defeated visiting Norwell 69-51.

Tickets for today's game are $7 for adults and $5 for students and seniors.
